Workshops are conducted via an online platform on Saturdays 1000 – 1630 on notified dates in early February through to early April with some in person events planned at key stages of the Academy.
The Northern Ireland Screen Games Development Academy returns for another year with applications open for all 16-19 year olds interested in a career in the Gaming Industry.
If you are aged 16-19 and are interested in finding out more about the Games Industry then this is the Academy for you. You will meet local studios, lecturers and freelancers from or based in Northern Ireland who will share their advice and experience on how they started their journey into Games.
Whether you have experience with Games Development or not this Academy is a great place to get started. The Screen Academies are free to sign up to all we ask is that you have an enthusiasm for creating. You don’t have to be a “gamer” to make games. You will have the opportunity to work on different aspects of Game development including idea generation, programming, sound design and 2D and 3D Art under the guidance of industry mentors.
It is a great opportunity to find out more about the careers of those already working within the Games Industry, to meet like minded people and to develop skills and knowledge of the Gaming Industry in Northern Ireland.
